Try this in your pipe: “Oil crashed” in 2008, in 1980, in 1920, etc., whatever. “Oil” itself never crashed for good, that’s what “Bubble come, bubble go” means; we’re still using oil.

Now a real crash for crude oil would be more eco-friendly oils produced out of biowaste for plastics, more efficient and eco-friendly hydrogen cells (or even hydrogen fusion, what do I know!) for transportation, or whatever. A substitute that is better could really kill the “oil”.

Of course, this a totally different parallel universe from the one where Bitcoin lives; it’s completely useless to begin with, and equipped with a system that can be judged as unusable by a five-year-old.
